Surgical Tape

Overview

Non-woven surgical paper tape is a type of medical adhesive used for securing dressings on wounds and stabilizing catheters or angiocatheters. These tapes are soft, comfortable, and provide high adhesive strength to ensure reliable fixation, even in challenging conditions. They are available in various forms, such as PE tapes, waterproof tapes, silk tapes, and more.

For wound care, it is important to use tapes that not only protect wounds and hold gauze in place but also prevent allergic reactions, redness, and itching (such as dermatitis or eczema). Hypoallergenic tapes are the safest option for direct contact with the skin.

Made of polyethylene, these tapes are breathable, allowing air and water vapor to pass through. This feature enables ventilation and moisture escape caused by sweating, which aids in the healing process.
